ORT's Power Transmission And Transformation Equipments-Warm-Damp Environmental Conditions

The Power Transmission and Transformation Equipments-Warm-Damp Environmental Conditions drafted by ORT was authoritatively released by the National Energy Administration

Ⅰ. Basic situation of power transmission and transformation equipments-warm-damp environmental conditions standard

The name of the standard:

Power Transmission and Transformation Equipments-Warm-Damp Environmental Conditions

Standard No.:

NB/T 10279-2019(中华人民共和国能源行业标准)

NB/T 10279-2019 (Energy Industry Standards of the People's Republic of China)

The range of standards:

This standard specifies the environmental parameter grades and severity of the power transmission and transformation equipment during service under humid and hot environmental conditions.

This standard is applicable to power transmission and transformation equipment used in areas with two types of climates, “damp heat” and “sub-humid heat” specified in GB/T 4797.1-2018.

Note: Considering the actual environmental conditions used by power transmission and transformation equipment, this standard does not include marine environmental conditions. That is, the hydrological conditions are not considered. But it contains a hot and humid island environment.

This standard only specifies the environmental conditions that directly affect the product, but does not describe the specific impact of these environmental conditions on the product.

The environmental conditions described in this standard do not include storage, transportation, and installation. For such conditions, please refer to relevant standards and technical specifications.

This standard does not consider environmental conditions caused by fire, blasting, and ionizing radiation, and environmental conditions caused by other accidents. In special circumstances, the probability of occurrence of these factors should be considered.

The actual use of power transmission and transformation equipment will be comprehensively affected by a variety of environmental conditions, including conditions and codes: climatic conditions (K), special climatic conditions (Z), biological conditions (B), chemically active substance conditions (C), mechanically active material conditions (S), mechanical conditions (M) and electromagnetic conditions (E). For equipment in different places of use in different hot and humid areas, the above-mentioned various influential conditions and their severity should be indicated.

Note 1: The island environment should consider the impact of waves and wind, and the maximum value is determined by the local historical record data.

Note 2: The island environment should consider the impact of thunderstorms.

a.3K5L is usually used, and 3K5 is only selected under special circumstances (such as the influence of heat radiation and airflow on the product in use).

b. The grade of the letter Hs indicates that there are individual items in the environmental parameters that are different from the original grade 4K3.

c. Use -10℃ for inland areas in sub-humid and hot areas, and +5℃ for marine climates.

d. The temp. change rate is based on the average value of 5 minutes.

e. The solar radiation intensity in transparent buildings or open places without glass is 700W/m².

f. The solar radiation of the island environment without climate protection is increased by one level (the wavelength of solar radiation reaching the earth's surface is mostly concentrated in 0.28μm~3μm).

g. "—" means that this environmental condition will not be considered.

h. 6mm/min is used for inland areas in sub-humid and hot areas.

3K4: This level is suitable for temp.-controlled places with large humidity changes, and humidity control is not adopted. The product may be affected by water sources other than condensate and rain. But it is not affected by natural precipitation and freezing.

3K5, 3K5L: This level is suitable for places with neither temp. control nor humidity control. Products can be affected by solar radiation, heat radiation, airflow condensation, and water other than rain, and may experience freezing, but are not affected by natural precipitation.

3K5L: Different from 3K5 only in "high temp." conditions.

4K3Hs: This grade is suitable for the product directly exposed to "damp heat" and "sub-humid heat" climate types without weather protection.

Ⅱ. Supplement of power transmission and transformation equipments-warm-damp environmental conditions

GB/T 4797.1

GB/T 4797.1 lists outdoor climate types expressed in terms of temp. and humidity parameters, as background materials for selecting the severity of temp. and humidity during product testing and application.

Except for areas with an altitude of more than 5000m, these climate types include all regions of the country.

This section can also be used as background material when determining the climatic conditions for product application.

GB/T 4797.1 specifies a series of outdoor climate types based on temp. and humidity parameters. These climate types are often used in the transportation, storage, installation, and use of products.

1. Overview

This standard quotes the data in GB/Z 32126, which collects daily temp. and humidity data from 1973 to 1992 around the world. The measurement locations are main airports and major cities around the world. The relevant data in my country is based on outdoor temp. and humidity data from 1971 to 2000 throughout the country.

2. General verification procedures

Data processing verification mainly has 3 main stages:

--Identify and collect data;

--Comparison between analysis data and current value;

--Update the data appropriately.

As a result of data collection and analysis, the types of outdoor climates worldwide have been simplified, as shown in Table 1:

Table 1 Climate type

New climate type

Climate type defined   by GB/T4797.1-2005

Tropical region

Damp heat, constant(damp heat steady state test)

Arid region

Moderate dry heat,   extreme dry heat

Temperate region

Warm, dry, and hot

Frigid region

Cold temp.

Polar region

Extreme cold, cold

Table 2 shows the definition of each climate type worldwide.

Climate type

Definition

Tropical region

Tropical rain forest climate, the average temp. of the coldest month exceeds 18℃.

Arid region

Dry climate, annual rainfall is less than 500mm.

Temperate region

Temperate rainy climate, the average temp. of the coldest month is between -3~18℃.

Frigid region

In boreal forests and snow-covered climates, the average temp. of the warmest month exceeds 10℃,   and the average temp. of the coldest month is lower than -3℃.

Polar region

Cold and snowy climate, the average temp. of the warmest month is below 10℃.

3. Outdoor climate classification statistics

The following table shows the climate types defined by the statistical outdoor climate (including the climate types that are only applicable to my country). Table 3 shows the average annual extreme values of the daily average values of temp. and humidity of various climate types (including those only applicable to my country), and Table 4 shows the average values of the annual extreme values of various climate types (including those only applicable to my country). The average value of the annual extreme values of temp. and humidity. Table 5 shows the absolute extreme values of temp. and humidity of various climate types (including those only applicable to my country).
